Speaker: Susie Ray,
Director of The School of
Precision Reflexology
About the Speaker
Susie Ray MAR, MARR, CNHC, BA (Hons) qualified in reflexology in 2005. Susie is based in Frome, Somerset. Since qualifying, she has been actively involved in the field of reflexology running area groups, sitting on committees, assistant tutoring and teaching parents and carers how to give reflexology to their babies and toddlers.
Susie has a holistic view of health, ensuring mind, body and spirit are part of the healing journey. Her aim is always to empower people to take control and ownership of their health. She believes that using reflexology to treat the whole person instead of individual ailments or symptoms is one of the most effective forms of preventative healthcare.
Susie took over The School of Precision Reflexology in April 2023 following Jan Williamson’s retirement. This form of reflexology teaches practitioners to really listen to the client’s body and be still within ourselves. In this respect Precision Reflexology can have a meditative effect on both client and practitioner.
Susie lives in Somerset with her husband, three children, dog and five chickens and enjoys yoga, running and a cold swim too!
Lecture Overview

Precision Reflexology is a light-touch approach which can be both powerful and precise – relying on a person's energy rather than pressure – and can be used as a standalone treatment or incorporated easily into other reflexology sequences. It can be particularly useful when working with fragile clients or those finding it hard to release held emotions within the body.
PR uses a “linking” technique that involves holding two or more reflex points simulta-neously. It endeavours to connect the subtle energy of each client and offers reflexologists further opportunities to work with.
During this talk, we will look at the essentials for all precision work, discuss the importance of massage, and demonstrate a couple of links and how these might be incorporated into treatments.
By using the linking technique practitioners are able to work effectively without using pressure which would often be inappropriate for those undergoing Cancer treatment.
