Mission
The mission of the British Reflexology Association is to advance, promote, and safeguard the practice of reflexology by supporting practitioners, students, and the public through high standards of education, professional conduct, and ethical practice.
About the Association
A Leading Professional Body for Reflexology Since 1985
Founded in 1985, the British Reflexology Association (BRA) is one of the United Kingdom’s longest-established professional bodies dedicated to reflexology. We represent qualified reflexologists and support students training in the highly respected Bayly Method, while actively promoting the benefits of reflexology across Great Britain and internationally.
Supporting Excellence in Reflexology Practice and Education
As one of the earliest reflexology associations in the UK, the BRA has developed a strong reputation for delivering a personal, supportive, and member-focused service. We are committed to upholding high standards of professional practice, ethical conduct, and ongoing professional development.
Accredited Training Through the Bayly Method
Official Teaching Partner: Bayly School of Reflexology
Our official teaching partner, the Bayly School of Reflexology, offers accredited training programmes for those wishing to qualify in this renowned method of reflexology. The Bayly Method is recognised for its depth, precision, and clinical application.
The School’s reputation extends beyond the UK and Europe, with formal representation in Japan, reflecting its international standing and influence in professional reflexology education.

Governance, Standards, and Professional Conduct
Transparent and Accountable Leadership
The British Reflexology Association is structured as a company limited by guarantee and is governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for overseeing governance, maintaining membership standards, and ensuring professional and ethical conduct across the Association.
CNHC Registration and Professional Recognition
BRA members benefit from access to the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) register — the UK’s government-supported voluntary regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners. The CNHC register is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, providing reassurance to the public and recognition for practitioners.
The BRA verifies member applications for CNHC registration, which can be completed easily via the members’ login area.
Advancing Integrated Healthcare
Core Member of the Integrated Healthcare Collaborative
We are proud to be a core member of the Integrated Healthcare Collaborative (IHC), a coalition of leading professional associations working together to expand access to complementary, traditional, and natural healthcare.
Through this collaboration, the BRA actively advocates for greater integration between complementary therapies and conventional healthcare, helping to improve patient choice, safety, and outcomes.
Vision
To promote excellence, integrity, and recognition in reflexology through professional support, education, and advocacy.
